I'm leaning towards finishing the live room floor in durable masonite (used in stage floors), as recommended by the good Doctor Lande. That means the subfloor panels can be relatively rough, so I'm installing OSB (Oriented Strand Board) panels over the foam and 2x4 sleepers.
