Ice Cream Maker

The Mighty Ice Cream Maker, 1 of 4 the Toucans carry to every event during the hot Tropical Northwest summers. Cast in concrete from a Baskin Robbins ice cream container, each "maker" has a rope tied through it for a handle, and a small PVC flange at the top for mounting our umbrella systems. The hot sun can detune a pan pretty quickly, so the shade is very important to the band. The umbrellas move around quite a bit during a performance, keeping the hot sun's rays off the pans.
