One of the deciding factors in going with a laminate "click" floor system was this acoustic underlayment called "QuietWalk". It replaces the more common foam underlayment with a thick carpet-pad-like layer on a mesh substrate, which deadens the floating floor and absorbs moisture as well! (not that anyone will spill any beer in the studio...)
