With a couple of careful miter cuts, the 3/4" grooved stock slips right into place over the edge of the pegboard. I glued up the groove before installing the piece of trim, and tacked small brads through the flanges, pinning the panel edge into place. The panels are now much more rigid, and I have a frame to tuck the canted slats into as well.
